Tamarind Master Printer

Frank Janzen

Frank moved to the Pendleton area from Vancouver Island, British Columbia to become Crow's Shadow's first full-time resident Master Printer. He is an artist in his own right, working mainly in printmaking and painting, and has collaborated with numerous artists in the U.S., Canada and South Africa in the creation of limited edition lithographs.

Frank worked with Edgar Heap of Birds in September of 2001 on his first collaborative edition for Crow's Shadow Press. He has collaborated with other established and emerging Native American artists, including Kay Walking Stick and Truman Lowe. He teaches beginning and advanced printmaking workshops at the Institute to a wide range of students.
