Drumstick Workshop with Kelsey Burns

11am-3pm

Kelsey Burns is a Cayuse, Nez Perce, and Crow enrolled tribal member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. Kelsey will be leading a drumstick workshop from 11AM to 3PM, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Crow’s Shadow. There will be a small registration fee of $10.

Kelsey has been making drumsticks for over four years. He continues to make them for himself, and for others who may need them. During this workshop, Kelsey will teach the participants how to assemble a drumstick. The drumsticks will be assembled out of buckskin, electric and duct tap. As a finishing touch, participants will use yarn to decorate their drumsticks.
