Round Beaded Necklace Workshop with Sequoia Conner

9am-5pm

During this all-day workshop, participants will be led through beading a necklace with Sequoia Conner. Sequoia will teach the participants how to bead a round necklace using cord and size eleven beads. To finish it off, participants will have the option of sewing on buckskin ties or standard necklace clasps.

 

About the instructor: Sequoia Conner is an enrolled member of the San Carlos Apache tribe and is a beadwork artist from Mission, Oregon. Sequoia was taught how to bead by her mother, Terri Carnes about seven years ago. Sequoia has taught a beading class at Eastern Oregon University. She has also beaded various pieces for herself and for others.

 

Included: Cord, thread, buckskin, standard necklace clasps, scissors, size eleven beads, and needles will be provided. Feel welcome to bring additional supplies if you would like to.

 

Lunch: A basic lunch and beverages will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions, please plan on bringing a sack lunch.
