During this six-hour workshop participants will be led through looming beadwork with Terri Carnes. The main focus of this class will be looming a beaded bracelet using size eleven seed beads. Terri will teach how to begin and end the process of looming a beaded bracelet.
About the instructor: Terri Carnes is an enrolled member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe. She learned how to bead from her mother at the age of five. She continues to bead to create beaded pieces for her family, and to teach anyone who wants to learn.
What to bring: Looms, beads, needles and thread will be provided. Feel welcome to bring additional supplies if you would like to.
Lunch: A basic lunch will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions, please plan on bringing a sack lunch. All are welcome to bring beverages of their own choice.
Registration: This class is open to everyone, however space is limited to ten participants. Participants will be required to make a ten dollar payment in advance, with a suggested donation of ten dollars to Crow’s Shadow to cover some of the material expenses; no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
