Crow's Shadow is proud to announce Wendy Red Star as our first Artist-in-Residence of 2023. Red Star will join us for a two-week residency later this month from, April 30 - May 13. We are honored to welcome Red Star back to Crow's Shadow for the fourth time, her most recent residency in 2020 and first in 2010.
Over the years, Red Star has created ten stunning lithographs while in residence at CSIA. One of these lithographs, titled Her Dreams Are True (Julia Bad Boy) can be found on the cover of Delegation, her first comprehensive monograph released in May of 2022.
We will host an in-person artist reception on Thursday, May 11 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at our studio in Pendleton, OR. We welcome our community join us for light snacks, an insight to Wendy's process and a sneak peak of new prints created while in residence at Crow's Shadow. A virtual reception will be held post-residency, more information to come.
