This collaboration project took place during the summer of 2010 between Crow's Shadow founder James Lavadour (Walla Walla) and five other prominent Native American artists. Each print in the series of 24 is a one-of-a-kind monotype with artistic elements of both Lavadour and one of the four following artists: Rick Bartow (Wiyot), Joe Feddersen (Colville), Truman Lowe (Winnebago), Lillian Pitt (Wasco/Yakama/Warm Springs) and Kay WalkingStick (Cherokee).
Each of the six artists collaborated with Lavadour on four prints. Lavadour initiated work on two prints, to which the partnering artist responded. The partnering artist, in turn, initiated their own marks on two separate prints, to which Lavadour then responded.
The artists involved have generously contributed all of the proceeds from the sale of these prints to go directly toward Crow's Shadow programming.
